Aztec Steel Fabricators Ltd. was started by Brian Kreft. He had operated on his own under the name of Aztec Portable Welding for many years. As his business continued to grow and expand to include fabricating and designing, he realized that working out of his dad’s shop on the farm would not be possible anymore. He bought a small shop at 1426 – 12 Street, Coaldale.
After several years, this shop also proved to be too small and in 2014 a new shop was built on the current property. Brian grew the business into a prosperous venture, bidding on large and small contracts.
Sadly, in April of 2017, Brian passed away and the business was sold to new owners continuing Aztec Fabricators Ltd. as it is known to this day.
In 2017 Aztec was sold to Dennis Overweg, Ryan Tanner, and Tyler Tanner. Shortly afterward Bill Damen joined the group as the managing partner and continues in that role today. This new ownership group is determined to continue the amazing reputation Brian had worked so diligently to build by providing quality service at a fair price.
Over the past few years, Aztec has proven itself to be a strong member
of the Coaldale community by supporting many local projects.
